Position Summary

An exciting opportunity now exists for a high calibre Software Engineer to be based in Christchurch.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will work within small dedicated project teams in the design of high volume and safety-critical embedded systems for the Industrial and Mobility vehicle markets. The software we develop ranges between low level drivers, real-time motor control and high level applications.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will:

Be qualified to degree level in software engineering or equivalent discipline.

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in embedded Linux development, including driver development.
  • Have experience in internet security and cryptographic techniques & algorithms.
  • Show a thorough understanding of software design and coding, preferably including UML.
  • Have experience in design and coding using C and/or C++ or similar.
  • Experience in RTOS, IOT protocols and inter-process/processor communications and strength in mathematics would also be advantageous.

A self-starter but equally capable of working within a team, including external parties.

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Have good attention to detail and be an excellent communicator with a desire to deliver and contribute fully to successful projects
