Job description
We are looking for a science teacher who has experience of teaching PSHE for a maternity cover position at one of our SEND Pupil Referral Units in Croydon. The role is start in May 2016, and is to last one year.
The school is a secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), providing a tuition service for young people who are temporarily out of mainstream education. This is mainly due to medical reasons. The school aims to provide equality of opportunity for all it’s pupils as well as facilitating the transition back to mainstream school, FE or employment. Education and support provided is centred around each individual to ensure their specific needs are met so they can achieve and develop both academically and personally.
Requirements of the role;
– Science Teacher for KS3 and KS4 with experience of teaching PSHE
– Experience of teaching SEND pupils (medical and emotional needs)
-Be available four days per week, Monday-Thursday
-Successful applicants will have Qualified Teacher Status in the UK.
-Candidates will hold an enhanced DBS check on the update service or be prepared to apply for a new one.
