Position: Duty Manager
Location: South Normanton, Derbyshire , 126-130 Market Street , South Normanton , Derbyshire , DE55 2EJ
Hours: 27 Hours Per Week
Salary: Hourly Paid: £7.75ph

ROLE:
The Duty Manager will support the Store and Assistant manager to provide fast, efficient, pleasant and unrivalled customer service. As a Duty Manager of Heron Foods Ltd, you need to ensure that the store is open and ready for trading at all specified times and is well stocked.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Operate the till in accordance with the company instructions and as directed by the manager.
b) Maintain procedures relating to till drawer control and till float.
c) Ensure correct pricing of products and stock rotation including the removal from sale of any goods exceeding the “use by” date and advise management of any “Best before” issues.
d) Input new lines into the till.
e) Merchandising and pricing as to comply with current legislation.
f) Stock Control: Ordering and Management.
g) Ensure that the cabinets and shelves are well filled and faced up at all times.
h) Provide highest possible standard of staff and unrivaled customer service.
i) Assist with the maintenance of high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout the store.
j) Observe company rules at all times and report any breach of company rules witnessed.
k) Co-operate will colleagues so as to ensure the smooth running of the store.
l) Housekeeping.
m) Carry out any extra reasonable request of the Store / Assistant Manager.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience in a similar retail role, ideally retail food experience.
b) Cash handling and cashing up experience.
c) Customer focused, Organised, Practically minded and able to roll sleeves up and get stuck in.
