Job Description
Working as part of a team and being responsible for serving food and beverages from a coffee bar.
Responsible to- Catering manager and head chef
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Areas- In general the coffee bar in Invicta House but on occasions to work at Sessions House in a relief capacity.
Equipment – The care and proper uses and cleaning of all equipment within the catering department used during the course of the day . Follow all safety precautions both in the safe operation and cleaning of machinery.
Counter Service – To enjoy customer interaction , serve hot and cold beverages , prepare, stock and replenish hot and cold food and snacks ,clean service counter.
Health and safety – Apply all statutory and company hygiene, health and safety procedures within your areas of work.
Service- The smooth efficient and friendly service of food and beverages.
Quality – Company policies and procedures should be followed at all times and carry out duties with energy and enthusiasm. Inform the manager of any comments made by customers or any of their own ideas for improving the quality of service.
Administration –The signing of cleaning logs on completion of scheduled cleaning requirements, the recording of refrigeration temperatures as instructed on the appropriate forms.
Other tasks – It is expected that from time to time you would be expected to work in other areas, all staff as expected to be flexible in their approach to work as the principles of cross training and multi skilling to other areas are fundamental to the work process, such duties will be reasonable in relation to the employees skills, abilities and status.
