We now have a fantastic opportunity for a experienced Sous Chef (Roaming) to join a 4 star hotels group in the UK operations. A great chance to join a company with a fanastic reputation, company benefits and values. This position is a mobile role including company car and free accomodation.

THE ROLE

A rare opportunity has arisen for a roaming chef to join a succesful and growing hotel group. The role will involve working within our busy and professional kitchens, contributing to customer satisfaction through the preparation of high-quality food items in accordance with hotel standards. You will be provided with a Company Car for travelling to each hotel and accommodation will be provided. You will need to be adaptable and work to very high standards within ever changing surroundings.

At each Hotel, the Sous Chef will work with the Head Chef and support the Hotels Kitchen Department to cover team absences and busy periods. Other duties include ordering and preparing food, creating fridge plans, ensuring stock and kitchen records are recorded correctly and in a timely manner and ensuring internal food safety audits are passed

REQUIREMENTS

The Ideal candidates must have previous experience in a similar role preferably with an AA Rosette background, be standards driven and detail orientated, have the ability to multi task and thrive under pressure and have excellent communication skills. The candidate will need to be flexible with their working hours to ensure they meet business needs

Required Experience for the Sous Chef role;

– The ideal Sous Chef will have previous hotel experience with skills, knowledge and confidence to work across all sections of the kitchen.

– You will have the ability to run a section on your own, to place orders for various sections and follow recipes to the Head Chef’s specification.

– You will need to be qualified to at least NVQ level 2, food hygiene level 2 (or equivalent qualification) and adhere to health and safety regulations.
