Head Groundsperson based at Warwick Racecourse
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Warwick Racecourse for a Head Groundsperson. Through the motivation and leadership of a small, dedicated groundstaff team, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the highest quality racing surface for all race meetings, as well as playing a major role in the continuing track integration project. They will also be responsible for maintaining and overseeing all outdoor areas of the estate, including in preparation for various outdoor events.
The successful person will have:
•Relevant turf management qualifications and previous experience in horse racing groundsmanship.
•Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work enthusiastically and pro-actively.
•Previous experience of leading, managing and developing a team
•A full, clean driving licence.
Some unsociable hours will be required due to the nature of the business including occasional evening, weekend and Bank Holiday work. Competitive salary and benefits plus accommodation.
